First Aid at Work Update
This course is intended for existing holders of a current First Aid at Work certificate. Towards the end of the three-year certification period, first aiders need to undertake a First Aid at Work requalification course to obtain another three-year certificate. Within any certification period, HSE strongly recommends that first aiders undertake annual refresher training. Although not mandatory, this will help qualified first aiders maintain their basic skills and keep up to date with any changes to first aid procedures.
To register on this course you must have a copy of your original First Aid at Work certificate. If your certificate is expired by more than 28 days you will have to complete the 3 day First Aid at Work qualification.
A practical assessment exercise will be undertaken at the end of the course.
All successful candidates will be issued with an updated First Aid at Work Certificate and will be able to continue to act as qualified first aiders in the workplace under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 for a further three years.
The Health & Safety Executive strongly recommends an annual refresher course is taken for this qualification.
This course takes place over a 2 day period with a minimum of 12 hours contact hours contact time.
Courses are held on site or locally and places on each course are restricted to a maximum of 12 delegates.
Please contact Leisure Safety Training if you require this course to be delivered at your site or a venue suitable and convenient to you.
